A Course at the Institute is a carefully select program of Classes to be taken in a set order for proper education and development. These Classes will guide you through a progression that leads to a comprehensive and balancing learning as devised by Zdenko Arsenijevic. Some of these Classes are also open to the public who wish to attend only that Class without being enrolled in a Course.

Course Classes that are open to the public are are called
Workshops. In these Workshops, those attending as part of an enrolled Course, and those attending that Workshop only, sit side by side.

All methods and techniques at the Institute are geared toward assisting development of positive qualities while protecting and transforming negative ones. A healer must learn how to practice healing work with unconditional love.

At the heart of the Institute is Zdenko's 4-Year Program. Based on his 25 years of personal experience and work in his Belgrade school, this intensive program is unlike any other.

Today we are living in a time of big conflicts and differences. The materialistic view of life with a focus on material, financial success was not as strong as it is today. That focus is supported by science and politics and gives a way for living that is full of neuroses, depression, fears and anger. Parallel with this is a focus on material side of life gives everyone a clear message 'Something is Missing.' This lifestyle doesn't give the feeling of wholeness, completion, complete joy and pleasure, happiness, freedom, peace and love.

This lifestyle is a big call for spirituality to come to everyday life and take a ruling position. Spirituality today is knocking on big doors of everyday life. Never in the last 17-18 centuries was spirituality so loud and clear. Today spirituality presents itself as only one real chance and possibility how man and humanity can find their completion, freedom, happiness, peace and love.

At the same time, spirituality shows today very clearly how it is not selfish. On one unconditional way, spirituality explains how completion can be realized only in the unity of material and spiritual. Spirituality today shows its maturity. In the past when spirituality in its immaturity and wish for revenge taught how completion and realization can find without unity with the material world because today is a big time of spirituality.

Currently spirituality is saying, "Here you are!" There are no more secrets, at least with information and knowledge. Today in every large bookstore we can find spiritual books which were only 50 years ago big secrets. Knowledge and practice from these books were part of closed, secret spiritual circles, ashrams or temples. This is not true today.

Everyone now knows about meditation. It is understood that meditation is our ticket for self-realization, illumination, satori, samadhi, nirvana; powerful words that say it is possible to realize completion.

A smaller number of people correctly understand this practice, while only a few people have the real experience of meditation. As in any other subject or experience, it is hard to describe the experience of real meditation or self-realization, samadhi…To truly know meditation, one must actually experience it, not just talk about it.

And so, what is meditation? Usually meditation is translated as deep, continuous concentration on some imaginary object. In this type of meditation on an imaginary object, the person has consciousness only for the object of meditation; awareness of the body or mind or focus on the body or mind is missing. Or to say more simply, in meditation the person has the ability to separate her or himself from logical and analytical existence. The answer to the question "What is meditation?" can come only as a result of personal subjective experience because the experience gives everyone deeper, clearer understanding of meditation and meditation is seen as communion with the inner self. Meditation's goal is self-realization.

Of course, the experience of Self-Realization or the experience of real, deep meditation doesn't come when the person closes his or her eyes with the first meditation. It calls for practice like any new sport that a person never played before and is trying to learn. The process of learning and joy asks for time, determination and self-discipline.

When a person is no longer distracted by external images appearing in his/her mind; when he or she cannot hear external sounds any longer and when the sense objects don't disturb each of them, he/she is in a real stage of meditation.

These descriptions can look like deep sleeping or dreaming, but in reality, there is nothing that we can compare with a real, deep meditation experience. The meditant is awake, but his/her awareness is with a focus far away from the outside world. The mind is under absolute control with intensive focus on one dot or object. The meditant transcended the normal mind's limitations and he/she goes through the experience of complete unity with the object of the meditation.

This message above us an excerpt from the book written by Zdenko Arsenijevic, Everything You Wanted to Know about Meditation and were Afraid to Ask to be published in the winter of 2005-2006.

In this course for teacher certification, participants will go through complete theoretical knowledge of meditation with an explanation that includes spiritual, energy, medical, psychological and scientific overviews. Participants will learn theoretical and practical meditations from many different spiritual systems, such as kundalini and kriya yoga, bhakti yoga, jnana yoga, mantra yoga, Buddhistic meditations, meditations from Kabbala, Tarot, astrology, Sufism and others.

The most important part in the participant's meditation training will be the most frequently asked questions and their answers about meditation that meditation practitioners have had in working with Zdenko in the last 25 years. The meditation course includes: 3 books ("Everything You Wanted to Know About Meditation," "Meditation in Practice: Practical Experience with Meditations from Different Spiritual Systems," and "Questions and Answers about Meditation").

A final exam is required at the end of the course in order to be certified as a meditation teacher. The participant can take from 6 and 12 months of home study to complete the course. From the historic shadow through little roads came to the heart of modern culture a big bite. On it is attacking the strongest weapons of the mind – science and scientists, religion, official ruling ideologies and governments. One famous astronomer, feeling angry and disappointed, reluctantly stated, "Astrology is the most successful spiritual movement of all times." Astrology has integrated into all cultures, regardless of the dominant religion; disregarding the level of education and evolution of that culture. Astrology integrated the Egyptian civilization, the mature and vibrant Greek civilization, in Hindu, Chinese, blooming Arabian culture and blossoming Western Middle Ages. Astrology gave no any importance to people's beliefs in Christ or Mohammed and showed no respect to the wisdom of Plato or Confucius. Mystics, wise people, the superstitious and others accepted the concepts and determinations of astrology.

Astrology has been found over in relics from Babylon, China, India, Egypt with completely developed ideas and concepts of cosmology along with the first shy signs of astronomy. It looks like normal to have the expectation how teaching that is based on past traditions will quickly neutralize or terminate from practical astronomy that looks into the future.

In early Egypt, the Pharoah would determine the location of new buildings by using his scepter as a tool, but before that he asked his stargazer for the time to begin the project so as not to anger some of the gods. In the 4th century BC, Aristotle found proof that the earth is shaped like a ball. Aristarh found the same proof through his calculations. Hypocrates called the doctors who didn't know astrology "bulls".

In the 2nd century BC, Christ Ptolemy wrote both the fundamentals of astrology and astronomy. It looked as though astronomy and astrology would become integrated through common thoughts and knowledge. There was also the impression that astronomy and astrology had the balance and harmony to go through life together. Copernicus founded the heliocentric system during the triumphant astronomy period of the 16th Century AD. While It was the time that Ptolemy's traditional understanding of astronomy had no chance for survival, but the concepts of astrology endured. Villfranche, at the same time, at the Sorbonne had a discussion of his amazingly precise astrological predictions.

In the 17th century AD, everyone had telescopes aimed at the sky and satellites around some planets were found, causing anxiety within the ruling religions. Galileo couldn't sleep. During the next centuries Uranus, Neptune and Pluto were discovered. Everyone was amazed that new planets could have important influences on life here on earth. Today science is searching for the existence of life on other planets and man is going into space. At the same time there are more and more registered astrology groups.

What is astrology? What is the power of astrology? Astrology is the science that is working on the discovery and explanation of the influence from planets and stars on organic and non-organic nature. Today, astronomy is a science based on the results of scientific research through the use of telescopes and similar instruments that focus on the discovery of space, planets and the understanding of how space or life is born. We can call astronomy "objective" science. Astrology can be called "subjective" science. To simplify, drawing an astrological chart is nothing other than an astronomical process because we are drawing positions of planets and stars at the time of a person's birth. The explanation of the position of the stars and planets and their influences on a person is an astrological process.

Astrology teaches us the harmony and symmetry of the universe and that everyone is only a part of the whole. With this point of view, it would be good if astrology is understood as a philosophy that is trying to help create an understanding of life and not as some science or abilities to predict the future. Astrology's goal is not to make planets guilty for what we have in our life. The goal is to learn something more about ourselves and our lives through planetary positions and influences. In that moment when we have the ability to see ourselves clearly we will find inside each of us new qualities and automatically our lives will start to become more productive and full with bigger and deeper meaning.

Astrology is divided into 4 different pieces. The first is astro-meteorology (natural or physical) and works on the research and discovery of influences of the planets on high and low tide, weather, atmosphere and the seasons of the year. Mundane astrology is astrology about nations and their economical and political cycles. Natal astrology is focused on one individual as a unit research and explanation of his/her horoscope like the result of the influences of planets at the time of birth and later their transits. Horary astrology looks at specific situations in question and focuses on the time and place of the event.

• Lesson 1 includes the basic principles - signs, planets, houses and aspects.
   Following this are the characteristics of planets and their positions
   within the signs and houses and their aspects.
• Lesson 2 includes Zdenko’s favorite – mathematical calculations used to
   create a chart, reading and analyzing the horoscope.
• Lesson 3 analyzes the horoscope at a deeper level - rulers of the houses and
   their positions in the natal horoscope.
• Lesson 4 includes predictions through progressions and directions,
   transits and solar horoscope.
• Lesson 5 covers fixed stars and their positions and influences in the horoscope
   and complete techniques for predictions based on natal astrology.

A Little about Tarot: Its Traditions and Roots –

Tarot is a deck of seemingly mysterious cards that are actually the predecessor of currently known game cards.

There are 78 cards with pictures on each within the Tarot deck. Every color, every smallest detail or number has its own specific secretive, magic meaning. These 78 cards are separated into 2 groups that can be later be explained separately, individually or together, depending upon which game or system we want to do.

The name "arcana" comes from the Italian word "arcano" which means something unknown, secretive, mysterious. Italians took this word from the Latin "arcanum" which has a similar meaning.

In the major arcane there are 22 cards. Of them, 21 are numbered and one is without numbers or is sometimes listed with zero.

The second group, minor arcana, include the other 56 cards that are divided into four different groups with specific colors and shapes..

Many theories and legends are connected with Tarot cards because the cards' deep symbolism today attracts the attention of a lot of perceptive people. Carl G. Jung said that tarot cards include archetype symbols of transformation and they are the perfect instrument for self-development.

Additional authors believe the cards keep big, deep secrets from a long time ago and they hold complete occult understanding and explanation of man. Contemporary occultist, Kenneth Grant says, "Tarot is a collection of magic formulas in a picture format that keeps secrets of time and places when the prophets made their predictions."

It is a very big question of where Tarot was born. A large number of authors think that Tarot keeps the wisdom of Ancient Egypt. They say the major arcanas are drawn in ancient Egyptian book of hieroglyphs according to Stuart R. Kaplan. Court Gebelin has the same opinion as Kaplan with a further belief that Tarot can be found in ancient Egyptian book, "Egyptian Book of the Dead". Gebelin says that gypsies from Egypt brought Tarot to the whole world.

At the end of the 14th and beginning of the 15th centuries, Tarot was known as throughout Europe, especially in France, Italy and Germany. The cards were a privilege for higher class and well-educated people. Philosophers, educators, doctors, psychologists tried to explain the cards and their symbolism and their connection to Kabbala, astrology and other occult systems. However, traditional science refuses to recognize this.

There are a lot of different legends about Tarot cards.. One of the most well known is that Tarot comes from Atlantis. These legends say that the beautiful, fantastic land of Atlantis existed a few thousand years ago. People from Atlantis were hard workers, good equal and they lived in love and peace with one another. They had their wise men and people who knew the stars.

When the wise men and star readers discovered that a major catastrophe was coming that would destroy all Atlantis and then followed by a new world, they decided to put their knowledge and messages into a form that would keep them safe for future generations. Because they didn't know which language would be spoken in this new world, they transformed their knowledge and wisdom of life and destiny into pictures and sculptures on stone tablets. These stone tablets are now lost somewhere in the blood river of our civilization. This is one legend – who knows where the truth is…

The truth probably is that Tarot was originally made in Europe, somewhere in the area of Northern Italy. Some authors believe that Tarot was named for the River Taro, a tributary of the River Po. Others believe that the time of Renaissance and humanism were appropriate for the creation of these cards.

Tarot's relationship with philosophy, education, poets, painters, wealthy and the church changed and mixed with finding ancient civilizations again during this inquisitive time. It was the time of restoration of the classic understanding of beauty and forgotten myths and legends.

Those seeking the realization of perfect spirit are reading Plato, Pythagoras' books from Hermeticism, Gnosticism, Kabbala, Pagan mythology, mystic religion and searching for the deep truth hidden within Christian mysticism.

The "Venetian" is the classic deck that we can still be found today and it is very similar to the "Marseilles" which was created early also. Each deck has 22 cards within the major arcana. The "Marseilles" design was accepted around 1500 AD and after.

The second oldest Italian version came from Florence. It also has 78 cards and is known as "Medici-Sphorca".

Under the pressure from the Church, the major arcanas – kings, queen/empress, hierophant, high priestess - sometimes were exchanged with other figures. At this time Tarot is, in a shocking way, rich with pictures and directions, magic and other secrets from historically significant times.

Tarot keeps the deep wisdom of ancient times and mixes different traditions, especially Kabbala, Greek & Egyptian Gnosticism, Hermeticism, the Pythagorans and the wisdom of the Orient. From that time on it has been understood that Tarot keeps the secret doctrine and keys to the understanding from these intriguing philosophies and cultures.

Tarot has an extensive and rich history, but Carl Gustav Jung, and his theory of the collective unconscious, has had a huge influence on today's modern explanation and understanding of Tarot. Jung's understanding that all experiences from human evolution are materialized through archetypes that have their manifestations in religion, mythology, philosophy, science, symbolism, dreams, fairy tales, visions and fantasies has given Tarot strong support.

A course of Tarot is presented in three different sections:

In Tarot 1 the course explains a little more of Tarot's history, initiation of Tarot cards, the connection of the Tarot cards, Kabbala and Tree of Life, the connection between Tarot cards and astrology and the explanation of the cards within the major arcana.

The Tarot 2 & 3 courses explain the cards within the minor arcana and the different systems for opening and working with the Tarot cards. A special part of the course relates to the Tarot as a complete system for self-development and self –transformation.

Our Institute is one of only a few in the United States where people can learn completely about healing with color or light.

The course is composed of optional home study or classroom work with a final exam and case study presentation with history and results.

The program is separated into three phases:

Donna is a certified color therapist and has studied and practiced holistic color healing for more than six years. She is a member of the International Association of Color and the International Light Association. She is also a Reiki Master and teacher of both Shamballa and Usui disciplines and is trained in the Ama Deus healing technique. She teaches color therapy with the Arsenijevic Integrative Wellness Center where she is a member of the graduate student program.

Ama Deus is an ancient spiritual system for self-transformation and energy healing. This hands-on healing method uses breathing techniques and sacred symbols to remove energy blocks on all levels. The Guarani Indians of South America were the keepers of these sacred symbols for over 6,000 years. They shared these secret symbols with Brazilian healer, Alberto Aguas, who originated the Ama Deus workshops. At the time of his transition, Albert passed his authority to teach Ama Deus to his student, Elise Eugenia Gamble.
